Since that time, I have worked extensively as a PR Consultant specialising in the construction, mining, quarrying and related industries.

The current economic recession has made it extremely difficult for manufacturers and suppliers to support the more traditional form of publications. As a result, several well-respected publications have had to close.

I believe that now is the time to revolutionize the thinking towards industry trade publications - to provide a format that is similar in style to printed publications, but which offers the many benefits from being connected through the internet.

I am not advocating an end to all printed publications. There is something satisfying in picking up a printed publication and reading it, but economics are making the cost more and more prohibitive. I invite your feedback on this.

Ten times a year, Contractors World will bring you articles, many in-depth, on construction activities from around the world. Detailed site reports to help contractors understand new techniques and methods being developed.

Equipment reviews and professional comments on how to maximise returns on investments and other industry news will also feature.

In addition, we will be publishing regular supplements on major trade shows, product profiles and specific industry segments.

For convenience, each issue is available in three versions - a digital version, PDF (for downloading, etc) and standard web pages making it possible to read Contractors Work on virtually any Internet connected device.
