Volvo Penta Industrial aims higher For decades, Volvo Penta Industrial has manufactured engines and complete power systems for industrial applications. Today, the company is one of the world’s leading companies in its field. As a part of the Volvo Group, one of the world’s largest diesel engine manufacturers, Volvo Penta has extensive resources for production and continuous development of diesel power systems. One of the well-known secrets behind this is the total commitment to the core values of the Volvo Group – quality, safety and environmental care. But, there are more to it than that. The development of cutting-edge innovations, global customer support and devoted a Volvo Penta staff are other major reasons for the success of the company. Tier 4 Final/Stage 4 – the next step for SCR Though being a well-established technology for several years, today, the SCR is in the limelight once again. And the reason for this is of course the coming Tier 4 Final/Stage 4 emission legislation to be effective in 2014. Compared with Tier 4 Interim/Stage 3B, the NOx emissions is to be reduced by as much as 80%. The solution Volvo Penta put forward in 2011 was based on SCR, optimising fuel consumption, same cooling-package size and no re-generation. In 2014, Volvo Penta will achieve the same objectives again, no re-generation and limited installation challenges for OEMs and low operating costs – again, based on SCR technology. Volvo Penta will be unveiling its Tier 4 Final/Stage 4 product range at the Intermat Click here for more information >>> Volvo Penta Contractors World Magazines will be reporting more on Intermat 2012 in the following issues, such is the volume of new equipment being introduced.
